In 1979, the first prototype CD (Compact Disc) was revealed to technology enthusiasts in Europe and Japan. A year later, electronics companies Philips and Sony teamed up to begin working on CD's for the public. ... CD's were made available to the public in 1982 and they quickly became the most efficient way of storing music.

This section, CD's includes all CD's that have been received, New and Used. In the case of New CD's, where the packaging is sealed, no inspection of the CD has been conducted; and in the case of Used CD's a visual inspection is conducted.
