Dr Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is a highly skilled, lonely forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute and writes novels as a sideline. Ambitious FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) of the FBI's Homicide Investigations Unit enlists her to assist the bureau with murder investigations when the standard methods of identifying a body are useless, especially when the remains are badly decomposed, burned or destroyed beyond recognition. This season, the team is joined by Dr.Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), Brennan's new boss, who seems to be taking more than a professional interest in Booth.
