Project IGI Used PC

The concept behind this novel first person shooter has been described as "think your way in, shoot you way out." Project I.G.I. or "I'm Going In", is the thinking man's shoot-em-up, combining stealth and espionage with bloodthirsty UZI wielding. The game is set in post Soviet Russia, you play as David Llewelyn Jones. Surprisingly David is not a Welsh interior designer but an ex SAS soldier, now working on top secret "Black Operations." A nuclear weapon has been stolen by the Russian mob and David must follow a trail of sinister clues in order to locate the missing warhead. At your disposal is a pleasing array of real life weaponry, including a few playground classics like an Uzi, an AK47 and a Glok 17. You also have the use of a nifty little PDA or personal digital assistant called a Map Computer. This device comprises of a real-time encrypted satellite link and a high-resolution screen with storage facilities. The satellite is your own personal dedicated orbiting friend and you can position it however you want. Ideal for tracking errant girlfriends, or, as it happens, Russian terrorists. As a first person shooter, Project IGI performs well. The combination of being technically accomplished and providing a strong story line is has become the new benchmark in the genre. Development team Innerloop had the game tested by the US military before the final release was cut and it shows in the realistic AI and general feel of the game. A nice example of attention to detail is the way the gun reacts to being used. If you fire a handgun, the kickback lifts the barrel back for the next shot. When you fire the AK the cross hair moves all over the place, causing the player to constantly adjust the aim.
